|Tamashii Feature’s 2016 is from May 21 to 22 at 1F Belle Salle Akihabara and will showcase new & upcoming releases from Tamashii Nations.
Initially teased a week prior, Tamashii Nations has on display quite a number of figures supposedly making up the <Side LABOR> sub brand of the ROBOT Damashii line. That said, the only confirmed figure among them is AV-98 Ingram 1 slated for an October 2016 release.
Also there are samples of Ingram 2 & 3, as well as labors Tyrant and Phantom. Though knowing Tamashii Nations, the other figures will remain display samples unless they announce release dates.
|Tamashii Nations made a tease a week ago regarding the new <Side LABOR> sub-brand of their ROBOT Damashii line. This time, it’s still pretty much a tease but gives a look of the figure, as well as its release date.
The figure is obviously of the AV-98 Ingram 1 from Mobile Police Patlabor and as far as aesthetics go, no significant liberties were given (looking at you Dragonar-1 Custom). Again, this images don’t give much details on the figure or the accessories it comes with though this particular image suggests the inclusion of an in-scale vehicle sort of. Hopefully the upcoming Tamashii Feature’s 2016 event would provide such details.
|This is Plastic Crack – posts, usually of video reviews, that continuously stimulate the collector passion through demonstration of a figure’s features. More importantly, these mainly comprise of items in the CATALOGUE wishlist.
Tamashii Nations just announced that they are finally expanding the ROBOT Damashii line to include the Labors from Patlabor. While really appreciated, it made this collector think of what to do with the purchased 1/60 kits Bandai reissued thanks to The Next Generation —PATLABOR—. Whether or not to ditch them and just get the ROBOT Damashii versions.
Someone fortunately did a recent build of the 1/60 Ingram kit and in the process, inspired this collector to go with the kits instead of getting the upcoming figures.
|While this ain’t the <Side GUYMELEF/MELEF> reveal that this collector has wanted for years, it’s probably up there as the next best thing.
As part of Tamashii Feature’s 2016, a display sample of possibly an AV-98 Ingram figure will be on display at Tamashii Nations’ Akibahara Showroom. Not much has been revealed as of yet though based on this teaser image, it looks like this figure will have great articulation if that excellent knee bend is to be used as basis.
Tamashii Feature’s 2016 is scheduled for May 21-22, 2016 at 1F Belle Salle Akihabara and will showcase new & upcoming releases from Tamashii Nations.
|This is Today’s Robits – posts that showcase CATALOGUE-related acquisitions for the entire duration of the covered period. In other words, it’s all about
February was a plamo-centric month of acquisitions as the robits that arrived were, you’ve guessed it, model kits.
When Bandai released the 1/48 Ingram kit for The Next Generation —PATLABOR—, they also reissued all the past Patlabor model kits. These included the Master Grades and the 1/60 scale ones. The smaller scaled kits were different that these employed an inner skeleton for the major joints that are enclosed in a rubber-like material to replicate the original design.
