A few days ahead of the Shizuoka Hobby Show 2026, the good folks at T-Spark revealed one of their next releases in the Realize Model line, the Murasame Liger as seen in Zoids: Genesis. Unlike the other, and I guess more familiar Zoids, the Murasame Liger was created specifically for Genesis and it doesn’t appear in any of the previous Battle Stories. Which makes its announcement as the next Realize Model more interesting.

The original Murasame Liger kit was released in the 2000s and for the Realize Model, it was redesigned based on the original, the animation CG model, and modern engineering from the Advanced Zi line. All at the same time incorporating iconic features seen from the anime, specifically the deployment and removal of the Murasame Blade. Overall, the kit allows excellent articulation unique to Lion-type Zoids.

- Model number: GZ-010
- Classification: Lion type
- Overall length: 22.3m
- Overall height: 9.2m
- Weight: 87.0t
- Maximum Speed: 310.0km/h

The torso contains several points of articulation consisting of pivots, ball joints, and pull-out joints to allow the recreation of jumping poses where the back is arched, and roaring poses where the back is bent.

Each leg utilizes a combination of ball joints and axis connections for wide and narrow-legged stances. The front legs are also connected to the torso via extending hip connections for added range of movement. The ankles also have multiple joints to keep each feet completely flat to the ground.

At the middle section of the torso is the rail that allows the Murasame Blade to be rotated from one side to another. As often seen in Zoids: Genesis, the blade can be pointed forward, and used in combination with the Sword Cannon.

The Murasame Blade itself is removable to faithfully recreate scenes from the anime, as well as the ancient Zoid language engravings.

The cockpit can be accessed via an opening clear canopy where it can be built in two ways. Either as an anime-accurate version with an included (and unpainted) Ruuji Familon figure, or as a regular seated cockpit for a generic (and still unpainted) soldier figure.
Unlike the Liger Zero which utilizes multiple armor parts for its different forms, the Murasame Liger transforms via ancient technology to its otther forms, the Hayate Liger and Mugen Liger. I assume we will be getting these forms down the line. Speaking of Liger Zero, they also announced the Zoids Battle Film version of the Liger Zero Falcon, which is the third kit in their pipeline after the Murasame Liger.
Either way, I’m glad that T-Spark is quite aggressive with their release windows for the Realize Model line.
