Besides new titles, some mecha classics are also returning in 2026, including Armored Trooper Votoms with the first of the two-part theatrical release for Armored Trooper Votoms: Die Graue Hexe which also translates to “The Gray Witch.”
This is going to be a two-part theatrical feature, with the first releasing on November 20, 2026. I will be in Tokyo around that time those dates so I guess I can cross out watching a movie in a Japanese theater in my bucket list. Anywho, they also released a new trailer along with a couple of mecha designs as seen below.
Votoms fans are very much familiar with the Scopedog and Die Graue Hexe appears to introduce a new look for this machine. We’ve yet to know if this is a story involving Chirico Cuvie though the main protagonist machine appears to be this Desert Color version. And they have samples of this kit on display in Shizuoka.
These belong to the same High Grade line Bandai Hobby has been releasing Votoms kits recently, and these appear to have more sculpted detail to match the on-screen model. I’m inclined on getting the green one since most Scopedog kits I have are in the same color, just for the sake of collection consistency.
