Earlier this week, Premium Bandai announced the HG Gundam AGE-1 Razor & Gundam AGE-2 Artemis Set as a late cash-in to the Gundam AGE 10th Anniversary celebration, I guess. These variants, or ‘wears’ as they call them in-universe, came from the Gundam AGE: Unknown Soldiers and Gundam AGE: EXA-LOG side stories which were serialized in Hobby Japan and Dengeki Hobby magazines, respectively.
As expected, magazine tie-in kits were also released, and these exact tie-in kits are now being bundled together with the Gundam AGE-1 and AGE-2 base kits for this set.

I really like these two variants to be completely honest. They’re not as ‘out there’ as the other ones with crazy weapons or weird color schemes. Both retain the standard Gundam tricolor which looks really good in my opinion. That said, these are magazine tie-in kits, which meant they were produced with a budget that doesn’t allow for good parts separation as you can see below.

The least offender here is the AGE-2 Artemis parts set as it did come in two colors and most of the paint needed are just gray details and that red cable piece. The same can’t be said with the AGE-1 Razor parts though as you’ll need to basically repaint the arm-mounted Razor Blades, especially those metallic green bits.
Fortunately, a third-party AGE-1 Razor kit came from I believe Dragon Momoko which are molded in the correct colors, not to mention clear green ones for the blades. I opted to get that one instead of the official kits and was satisfied with how it looked fully assembled.
The Premium Bandai listing did mention that new color-correcting seals were included for these parts but if you’ll get this set, just paint them.
