More “Advance of Zeta” Combinations! HGUC Emergency Escape Pod [Primrose]

Before delving into the can of worms that is Shizouka Hobby Show 2019, here’s something you can already purchase. Last March, Bandai Spirits announced a whole slew of new and reissued HGUC Advance of Zeta kits that can be combined to form some crazy mobile suits. Yesterday, they decided to add another one, the HGUC Emergency Escape Pod [Primrose] and with it, more combinations.

The Primrose is another support unit which, as the name implies, increases the survival and recovery rates of mobile suit pilots and developed for use with the Hazel units. And like the G-Parts [Hrududu], it can also combine with other HGUC Advance of Zeta kits.

The first combination would use one copy of the HGUC Primrose and HGUC G-Parts [Hrududu]. This combination is considered as a high performance variant of the Primrose though no official name is given.

On the top right is the HGUC Emergency Booster Pod [Primrose] Type 3 Armament and you’ll need the following to build one:

• A copy of the HGUC RX-121-2 [Hazel II] kit for the Tri Booster backpack unit.
• Two copies of the HGUC Primrose kit.

On the bottom left is the HGUC Emergency Booster Pod [Primrose] Type 4 Armament and would require the following kits:

• Two HGUC Primrose kits
• Two HGUC Advanced Hazel kits with the Gundam TR-6 Hazel II connector parts.

At this point I’m becoming skeptical of my plan to build separate kits for each combination. Not really sure if they’re feasible or even practical financially.

Capping off this list of combinations is the HGUC Gundam TR-1 [Hazel Owsla] which is a version of the Advanced Hazel with the Primrose support unit. Though if you’d notice, this version of the Advanced Hazel is in white, whereas the kit being sold is in Titans colors. Which means to build this guy with minimum painting, you’ll have to get the following:

• Build the main body unit with the HGUC Hazel Custom with Gundam TR-6 combination parts.
• The leg enhancement parts, high performance optical sensor unit, and the weapon latch with sub arm unit will be be taken from the HGUC Advanced Hazel.
