Still keeping up with the Gundam GQuuuuuuX builds, I have returned to the kit that started the line back in January 2025, the HG GQuuuuuuX. But it’s a little different this time, both literally and figuratively with the release of the HG GQuuuuuuX [Endymion Unit Awakened]. Given how short the series is and the GQuuuuuuX didn’t get a mid-season upgrade, this kit supposedly fills that gap.
The main difference between this build and the one I did last year, is the availability of third party decals and masking sets. They’ve been very helpful in making this build smoother and easier, especially the masking sheets for some problematic areas like the manipulators, or the back of the shield.
As for the actual kit, the difference is with the new head unit which can open its “mouth” to show the activated Endymion Unit, and those black hole-looking energy orbs on the shoulders and legs. Otherwise, it’s the exact same kit as the vanilla HG GQuuuuuuX. Which also means the build should be familiar, though I’m not committing to any target dates for completion.
