April 2026 marks the first anniversary of Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX, so I’m spending the month going through Gundam GQuuuuuuX kits in the backlog. I finished the repainted HG Red Gundam towards the end of March, so it makes sense to follow it up with the HG White Gundam. I am expecting to build this kit essentially three times, with the 01 Gundam to cap this mold once it arrives.
I didn’t bother making a work-in-progress post since they’re essentially the same kit, sans obvious color differences. The White Gundam doesn’t have the side pieces on the head, which were in the Red Gundam after the Alpha Psycommu enhancements. For weapons, it doesn’t come with the two large bits, and instead has the Hyper Bazooka. I also got aftermarket decals and masking sheets for the intricate details and color placement.
With this kit done, I’m continuing with Gundam GQuuuuuuX train with the, well, HG GQuuuuuuX [Endymion Unit Awakened]. But more on that later once I crack open the box and bags of runners.
