That alliteration is totally intentional.
I got stuck with this double build of the HGUC Gundam F91 for the whole month of February, even crossing towards March. But I can finally put this kit behind as I’ve finally completed this extended double build.
The build isn’t really complicated and reflects the engineering seen with the HG All Gundam Project. It’s more of how the design has heavy reliance on touching up these orange thruster details. From the very small ones on the head down to the shield generators, masking all these parts became quite a chore. And doing all of these twice didn’t help, that’s why it ultimately took the whole month as I was pacing the entire thing.
It’s an okay kit overall, though the design and parts separation were definitely limited on what can be engineered at such scale without going over the HG budget.
And as much as I wanted to continue with more HGUC kits, I will go on a tangent with my next build, the HG Red Gundam. I will do a G3 recolor of this kit, just like a good number of Japanese modelers, so it will be interesting how this will turn out.
