I believe I’ve already said this same spiel in previous years, but the backlog doesn’t stop as the year changes, so we’re once again starting 2026 with packages of potential purchases (alliteration intended). Note that this is going to be updated as we get more packaging reveals throughout the month.

It’s more or less one year ago when we got the HG GQuuuuuuX, as part of the theatrical release of Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning-. The included literature was very much barebones as to not reveal any plot details from the series which was released several months after. Now, we’re going full circle with the release of the HG GQuuuuuuX [Endymion Unit Awakened].
As many have expected, this is the same kit just with new parts to recreate how the GQuuuuuuX appeared in the last episode, when the Endymion Unit activates. These include new head parts for the open-mouth feature and those black hole-esque orbs that attach to the shoulder and leg armors.
Given the minor differences, many builders are leaning towards this getting kit as the definitive version of the GQuuuuuuX in 1/144 scale. There’s currently an abundance of stock for the original HG GQuuuuuuX so let’s see if we’ll see a decrease in demand for that kit.

2026 marks the final year of the GWX 30th Anniversary celebrations, and we’re finishing things off with After War Gundam X. It may not have the same impact as G Gundam and Gundam W, but it’s still a series worth celebrating. Heck, I will even say it has a better story overall among the three, despite having its run cut short.
While I’m not expecting much, they are opening the year with the Figure-rise Standard Tiffa Adill kit, and they’ve really come a long way from when they were releasing nightmare fuel-level kits. Besides Tiffa Adill, I believe Ennil El is another popular female character from the series, though I’m not really expecting a kit of her to be released, but let’s see.
For actual mobile suits, both the Virsago and Ashtaron deserve modern kits, so we’ll also see.

As mentioned above, I’m expecting updates to this post, especially from kits being released much later this month.
