Just to get the post title out of the way, I did get another HG Exia, along with another kit which I’ll mention in another post. This is purely for building the HG Gundam Devise Exia which uses the third-party add on from DDB Corgi. It can be used on either the HG or RG version, but I opted for the HG since I do reserve any RG purchases for very specific variations. But again, more on that later.
Following some unplanned delays, I was finally able to resume building this HG Gundam Exia Repair II kit, and it’s mostly what I was expecting. I last left with just the upper half, but I did start painting all the gray bits on the lower half, which are mostly on the legs and feet.
All’s left is the new GN Drive mimicking the open configuration shown in the series finale, which I’m also in the process of painting. The manual also tells me to build the GN Blades, though it wasn’t shown being used in the series so I have the option of skipping them. Either way, I should be able to finish this guy in the next couple of days.
