UPDATE: Includes new packaging art from Good Smile Company and Premium Bandai.
2025 is about to close, which also means its high time for those December model kit releases in time for Christmas, or the equivalent holiday you’re celebrating.

The HG White Gundam is a no-brainer, being a straight recolor of the HG Red Gundam with the exclusion of several parts. Despite ending this summer, we’re expecting Gundam GQuuuuuuX retail releases to continue throughout 2026 and I’m glad the White Gundam isn’t an online exclusive.
As for the illustration itself, it equally flips from what we usually expect as the Gundam is seen doing the “Char kick” instead of getting thee kick. While I was keen on getting this kit and skipping the HG Red Gundam, I eventually got the latter a couple of months ago as I do plan on painting it in G-3 colors, like a good number of Japanese modelers already did.

A kit I initially pre-ordered, then I canceled that pre-order, and now regretting that cancelation is the HG Gundam Zagan from Mobile Suit Gundam IRON-BLOODED ORPHANS: Urdr-Hunt. Based on the snippets of the game footage-turned-movie I saw, Gundam Zagan is essentially the final boss in this story, and it’s one beefy final boss. Despite the bulk, it still uses the IBO Gundam Frame many had worries going in as it has definitely shown its age. But initial reviews suggest that there were some improvements made for better stability, at least in that seemingly-fragile waist section.
As mentioned, I canceled my pre-order of this kit, but as soon as I see one locally, then I will definitely pick one up.

Then we have this behemoth, the 30MM Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon VE-40A. I mentioned this previously, but with how crazy these Armored Core units can get, I’m leaning more into getting these vanilla colored ones, and they have released several of them, including the Melander, and the VP-40S for next year.
Similar to how modular these units are int he games, the model kits are also modular with the reuse of parts from previous releases. The obvious one being the VR-40A Open Faith for, well, obvious reasons. But you are mainly getting this kit for the massive lower section. This particular variant is actually being referred by other sources as the VE-4B and uses the VE-42B tank legs. Obviously the tank legs won’t have any articulation, but you’re basically getting this model primarily for it shelf presence.

At the time of posted, Bandai Spirits over at their socials just released the packaging for the HG Huckebein from The 4th Super Robot Wars. Again, while very similar to the Huckebeing most are familiar with, sans the obvious color differences, this is technically native to the aforementioned game, and is being distinguished with the PTX-08R model number in the packaging. Whereas the Super Robot Wars OG version is RTX-008R/L.
I will make a separate post on this guy as they also released the final solicitation images recently, giving us a better idea of what this kit would feature and include.

As expected from Good Smile Company, they’ve also released packaging illustrations for their first Broken Blade (or sometimes Break Blade) kits in the MODEROID line, those being Delphine Second Form and Delphine Third Form. Similar to MODEROID Orgun from my recent #SoloTokyo2025 haul, these two were previously released as RIOBOT figures, to which I apparently got have Delphine Second Form. But I am still going with these kits since I do prefer them over figures nowadays.

I believe the last item on this list would be the Premium Bandai exclusive HGAC Gundam Griepe, with its packaging illustration shared by the artist themself, Chifuyu Yukishiro — and I know it looks like a Morishita Naochika piece but it isn’t. Just like the other G-Unit releases, this one features a full color illustration despite being a Premium Bandai release. It’s also the fourth from the original line up that got a modern release, just leaving the Gundam Hydra.
