Roughly after under a month, I’m finally checking the HG 00 Raiser (with GN Sword III) off my backlog. My familiarity with a previous build helped this one as the delay was mainly due to some instances of really bad weather.
The kit is fairly color accurate overall, albeit numerous areas that needed gray paint or black for some recessed areas. I do have to warn that some of these parts that needed gray paint are also part of some hinge or sliding mechanism, which would be prone to paint chipping. For this build, those mainly are the small binders in the 0 Raiser and the back of the blades for the GN Shields. I just opted to not restrict sliding these blade parts to prevent further paint chipping.
I will following up this build with the HG 00 Qan[T] from Mobile Suit Gundam 00: A Wakening of the Trailblazer, a kit stuck in the backlog longer than it should. I still have several kits left in my Gundam 00 backlog but at least I can finish Setsuna’s mobile suits, except that I recently got the Exia Repair II.
