As expected during this time of year, the weather during the last several weeks have been horrendous. But things have gotten better last week and I was able to resume the HG 00 Raiser build I’ve started in July. I’ve also started building another kit in parallel, primarily because a friend wanted to do a build session, but also because of my curiosity for this relatively new manufacturer.
I’ve completed building the 00 Gundam as part of the HG 00 Raiser kit, which means I’m left with the 0 Raiser and all the weapons this kit comes with, including the GN Sword III which you’re not able to get by buying the HG 00 Gundam and HG 0 Raiser as separate kits. Much of the paint needed for this guy are with the clear GN Condensers and several bits that should be in gray. The same can be said for the 0 Raiser which I started yesterday.
On an unrelated note, I went to a local scale modeling show last weekend and along with it, a friend asked to have a build session afterwards. I decided to go with the UA 1/144 Zi-Kron from Sheik Mainland. I’ll probably write a more comprehensive post on what this line is about, but they are essentially doing grunt units, think 30 Minutes Missions but less of the ‘model kit Lego’ concept.
I don’t intend on immediately finishing the Zi-Kron as I will continue the build during our next session, but I do like what I’m seeing from the building the head and the upper torso as seen here.
