It’s Again Time for L-Gaim: HG L-Gaim Mk-II – Work in Progress #1

While I wasn’t posting any work in progress within the last couple of weeks, I was actually building something. Unfortunately, it was just too hot on my side of the woods recently so I paused whatever I was building. Things got a little cooler last weekend so I took the chance to continue this build.

And as you can see above I’m continuing L-Gaim 40th anniversary builds with the HG L-Gaim Mk-II. To those unfamiliar, This kit is meant to be a continuation of the High Grade Heavy Metal line some 20 years ago since the original run didn’t include the L-Gaim Mk-II. To coincide with this, they reissued the old kits in updated packaging, and even made a “version 1.5” update for the original L-Gaim, which I completed before this one.

In contrast to the mostly while L-Gaim, L-Gaim Mk-II has more color applications with a mix of light gray, red-orange, brown, and dark blue. Most of the parts I’ve built are color accurate sans for the light gray strip on the rear armor flaps. I also had to note of which parts are involved in the transformation so I don’t accidentally glue them.

We have a three-day weekend coming so I might be able to have significant progress on this kit, but I won’t make promises.

Thoughts?
