I started 2024 by building Gundam SEED / SEED DESTINY kits in preparation for the SEED FREEDOM premiere in January. Fast forward 12 months later and I am closing 2024 with a double build of SEED FREEDOM kits, completing the journey full circle.
When I made my second update for this double build, I was already in the process of building the second set of Assault Shroud parts which aren’t meant to be attached to the Duel Gundam I’m building by itself. I was initially thinking of skipping building these armor parts, but if I wanted to display the Duel Gundam after purging the “Blitz” components, then it would make sense to build the armor parts themselves.
With these kits done, there’s only one remaining SEED FREEDOM build I need to do for my collection, that being the HGCE Destiny Gundam & Zeus Silhouette set. But I will be skipping that for now in favor of a couple of other kits. First, I do want to return to the Witch from Mercury with the HG Gundam Lfrith Pre-Production Model and second, I also wanted to build the HG Gundam EX from Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance. I was just waiting for the waterslide decals to arrive and once they did, I can now proceed in building this kit.
I’m inclined to build the Lfrith between the two and if so, that will be kit number one for 2025.
