“Blitzing” is a legit word, right?
I hinted in my last work in progress post that I’m considering building the HGCE Duel Blitz Gundam after the Best Mecha Collection RX-78-2 Gundam (Revival), and I am going through with it. I also have two copies of the kit, automatically making this a double build for the actual Duel Blitz and the regular Duel Gundam.

Thanks to the relative simplicity of the design, and Bandai Spirits’ ever improving engineering in terms of parts separation, I was able to build the vanilla Duel Gundam after an entire day’s worth of work. That said, you will still need to do some painting for complete color accuracy. Some of these are mostly hidden areas like some gray bits on the rear thigh armor and the at the base of the feet.
However, you will need more effort, especially in masking, on those orange thruster parts at the back, both with the Duel Gundam and the Assault Shroud armor for the Duel Blitz. Since I’m doing a double build, I’ve already painted two sets of backpack units while I’ll only do one set of Assault Shroud parts — the latter might change though depending on how easy I find painting these parts.
