Following my build progress last week, I did the exact same thing for my second Mighty Strike Freedom. And as expected, there were improvements following the first, which makes the second build the better one. Because of this, the first one will be built as the Strike Freedom Type II while the latter one will be the Mighty Strike Freedom with the help of the Proud Defender.
I’m now in the process of building four beam rifles from these two kits, as well as the Super DRAGOON backpack unit from the HGCE Strike Freedom Gundam, which I already have on hand. I will need to paint this backpack unit in a darker shade of dark blue to match the dark blue of the Mighty Strike Freedom.
I might also need to have the extra Mighty Strike Freedom head unit shipped to me from Buyee to complete this double build. The open disruptor blade antenna might pose some challenge when painting, though I already have two extra copies coming from these two kits so I have leeway in case something horrible happens during painting.
I am hoping to complete the remaining weapons and the Super DRAGOON backpack by next week, especially if the weather cooperates. I’ve yet to think of the next kit to build after these two, but if I’ll continue this double build trend, then I have a good pair of candidates.
