As seen during the Gundam 45th Anniversary special, 2024 marks the 30th anniversary of Mobile Fighter G Gundam. To those unfamiliar, G Gundam is the first non-Universal Century production following V Gundam the year before, and kickstarts all the alternate universe Gundam productions that continue to this day. G Gundam is also arguably the most unorthodox of Gundam shows, returning to its hot-blooded super robot roots with its crazy concept.
While G Gundam received mixed reactions during its premiere, it has become one of the most beloved entries in the franchise since.
