“Multiple Mobile Suit,” Literally: HGUC V2 Gundam Quad-Build Complete

The decision to do a Gunpla quad-build is always a commitment. You are building the same kit four times, not to mention any variations each build will have. And so, there’s always a risk of not being able to complete them in the ideal amount of time, barring any reason you may have. That is why I’m really glad that my second quad-build for the HGUC V2 Gundam is more or less complete.

It’s kind of the same situation as when I built four HGUC Phantom Gundam kits back in October, except that I’m building four of the same core kit as compared to two in MS and two in MA modes previously. This did make me very familiar with the assembly steps, that I wasn’t looking at the instructions for a good chunk of time, speeding up the process.

What really helped is that I took the parts that needed paint from each kit and did the necessary preparation work. This consumed time at the start, but allows for a smoother build process down the road. I only need to build three more beam rifles, but these four are more or less done.

The inevitable question now is, what do I build next? I can continue the V Gundam train and build two remaining kits, the V-Dash Gundam and V-Dash Gundam Hexa, same body just with different heads. Or I can pause building kits just like I did last year and dedicate March to just taking photos. We’ll see!
