The HGUC Victory Two Gundam quad-build continues and I spent most of last week painting parts that are not color accurate across all four kits, coming out of what I gathered from the first V2 Gundam I built. I still need to paint the weapons for the V2 Assault variant but doing this really sped up the build process.
For the second kit in this build, I decided to go with the Victory Two Buster Gundam as it’s sort of the closest to the vanilla V2 Gundam outside of the Mega Beam Cannon and Beam Spray Pod mounted on its back. This is the configuration that would sway people to buy multiples of this kit as converting the Minovsky Drive/”Wings of Light” emitters (i.e. the large ‘V’ on its back) between the Assault and Buster/Assault Buster configurations would require complete disassembly. Actually, the same could also be said for the other configurations so getting multiples is really the way to go.
I will be following these two with, of course, the Assault and Assault Buster configurations, though I still need to paint the Mega Beam Rifle and Mega Beam Shield. Hopefully, I could finish painting these parts before the next weekend so I can just go straight to building them by then.
