I guess… this is a testament of how fun building this kit is?
I was intending on pausing building this kit with just the Guardian left unassembled and proceed to start with HG Gundam Calibarn. But obviously I didn’t and just went ahead to finish HG Gundam Schwarzette over here, and it was quite the easy build, all thanks to the design being mostly white with minimal color correction. It will be a shame once I get to build those older HG kits and I have to settle, yet again, to painting to color correct parts. Especially when I’m looking at building a couple of older HG Gundam SEED kits as part of the whole Gundam SEED FREEDOM hype.
I completed Gundam Schwarzette late Saturday, which means I still have Sunday to start another kit, so I went straight ahead and start building HG Gundam Calibarn. If you’ve built any of the Vanadis Institute Gundams then this should be familiar. Sharing the same dominantly white color scheme as Gundam Schwarzette, I haven’t done any major paintwork outside a couple of spots on the shoulders. Though I’ve yet to check if that will continue for the lower sections and the weapons.
I’m positive that I can finish this by this weekend or so though I’m not planning to continue this tonight, or for the rest of the weekday. I’m thinking of pulling the camera out of storage to shoot some One Shots entries.
