Summer 2021 saw the release of Getter Robo Arc, the anime adaptation of what Ken Ishikawa intended as the final entry in the Getter Robo franchise, if not for his untimely passing. The story may be unfinished, but the anime managed to provide a conclusion, fans have waited, for almost 20 years.
