As I mentioned in a previous post, Kotobukiya has revealed a new set of upcoming kits for their “The Brave Fighter” line up, and I didn’t expect any of them.

First up is Baan Gaan from The Saint of Braves Baan Gaan which, to those unfamiliar, was supposed to follow GaoGaiGai as the next Brave Series entry, but was cancelled and became an exclusive to the Brave Saga games. He has a blue dragon motif and is a combination of the smaller robot Baan, and a larger vehicle Gaan Dasher. Outside of this kit, the only release I know of Baan Gaan was a DX set from CM’s Corp so I’m totally looking forward to getting a copy.

Next up is the titular robot from The Brave Fighter of Legend Da-Garn, Da-Garn X. Why I didn’t expect this guy is because Good Smile Company is still accepting pre-orders for the fully transformable version as part of their The Gattai line and is slated for a January 2022 release. But with Kotobukiya putting this in the release pipeline, the only “conflict” I could see is with Bandai Candy’s SMP line which is doing Fighbird next.

They are also quick to highlight that the kit is able to replicate the opening chest gimmick for some of its attacks.

The last of these new reveals is ironically the first antagonist in the line up. Returning to The Brave Fighter Exkiser, out first villain is Dino Geist. He is a triple-changer that can transform from robot to a horned T-Rex and to a jet. And while this kit will likely not have any transformation gimmicks, the anime-accurate design makes him the perfect adversary to the Great Exkiser kit they released previously.
No release dates or prices have been announced for these three so stay tuned for more updates!
