With just more than a week before its release, Bandai Spirits has released the box art for the upcoming HGAC Gundam Deathscythe kit. After skipping the previous Gundam Heavyarms kit, I do have plans of getting this guy, as well as Shenlong Gundam.
The good folks over at the Bandai Namco Korea official YouTube channel also gave a quick straight build preview of the kit, covering some of its features and gimmicks.
The kit is mostly color accurate out of the box, with the usual detail work on the smaller parts and vent areas needing touch ups. Otherwise, the proportions and aesthetics are spot on. Multiple beam effect parts are also included, one for the Buster Shield, and two different-sized ones for the Beam Scythe.
As mentioned above, I have skipped Heavyarms which means I won’t be able to complete the original five gundams from Gundam Wing. Now, I’m not sure if nostalgia will force me to get Heavyarms but I’m not really a fan of the design. Let’s see.
