It was recently announced that the Gundam SEED design variation series, Gundam SEED MSV will be returning after 20 years as the Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM MSV. This covers variants around the time the film is set, which includes the Rising Freedom Gundam.
If you remember the earlier parts of the film, the Proud Defender was seen at the hangar of the Millennium, and it was intended to dock with the Rising Freedom Gundam. Unfortunately the latter got destroyed by Foundation’s Black Knight Squad which eventually led to how we got the Mighty Strike Freedom Gundam. But if things went according to plan, should we have gotten the Mighty Rising Freedom Gundam? Not exactly.
What appears to be the Rising Freedom in Deactive Mode is actually the Rising Freedom Gundam Radiance Granger, a very fancy name to call the combination of the Rising Freedom with the Proud Defender. And again, the colors might look bland and boring, but the shades of bluish gray combined with some red and black, along with the gold of the Proud Defender makes for a rather regal-colored mobile suit.
The design will first appear as a Metal Robot Spirits figure, available for pre-sales at GUNDAM-Con 2027 SIDE MAKUHARI in January. Subsequent solicitations will then appear in Premium Bandai and other retailers at a later date.

Gunpla modelers and builders, myself included, can wait for an HGCE release to be announced, or just build and paint our own versions.
