When the Code Geass team had their 20th anniverary projects last week, I was really excited witth the announcement of HG kits for both the Zi-Apollo and Zi-Artemis from Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture. Despite not yet finishing the series, I’ve seen enough action from the Knightmare Frame units that I totally won’t mind getting them.
I was expecting them to be available around mid-2026 to coincide with the Japanese TV broadcast of Rozé of the Recapture, but I guess the folks at Bandai Spirits wanted them much sooner as pre-orders for the HG Zi-Apollo were up this past week.

Unlike the Lancelot or the Alexander which are dominantly white with gold and red accents respectively, the Zi-Apollo carries darker blue colors with red and bluish-gray accents. It also has notable ornamented sections on the chest and fortunately for us, it just needs panel lining on the deeper areas.

The solicitation mention how the Zi-Apollo utilizes ball joints on the torso, allowing for greater range of forward bends, along with telescopic shoulder joints for a very dextrous model kit to perfectly represent its on-screen appearances.

Each forearm houses an Exonium Blade and it can be pulled out when in use. Clear parts are also included for the Blaze Luminous shield.

The Zi-Apollo’s basic weapon load out includes the aforementioned Exonium Blades, Blaze Luminous shield, and a whole slew of Slash harkens that can be launched from multiple points. Each are supplied with bendable wires when used on display.

Outside of these basic weapons, the Zi-Apollo is often seen stealing the weapons of the units it engages, and some of those weapons are also bundled with this kit. These include the Maser Vibration Sword (MVS) stolen from Gran Kirkwayne’s Levyletaine, the saber from Arnold Renck’s Valpnir, the rifle used by a Neo Britannian Camden unit, as well as the Special MVS stolen from Christoph Scissorman’s Elgrips.
Lastly, replacement head parts are also included to replicate the Zi-Apollo in Megistus Zeta Mode.
I haven’t built any of the Code Geass kits since they were still under the Mechanic Collection line and fortunately for me, they’re not they don’t come by often. But with the HG Zi-Artemis and the new series in the horizon, I should probably start crossing of some of these kits from my backlog. In any case, the HG Zi-Apollo is now available for pre-order via Premium Bandai, as long it’s not yet sold out.
