It’s exactly one year since Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM was released in Japanese theaters and since then, it has become the most commercially successful Gundam film to date. The film also introduced three more mobile suits to Kira Yamato’s arsenal and at the same time downplayed his messianic status for much needed character development. While I don’t think this would be the last media in the Cosmic Era timeline, if this would be chronologically, then the film does provide a good point of closure.
