Along with the major reveal of upcoming Gunpla from Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX, Bandai Spirits also revealed tie-in kits for the Gundam Next Future Pavilion as part of Expo 2025 Osaka. Following the Robot Spirits reveal which gave us the full version of the added armor to the original “Moving Gundam” from Yokohama, this latest wave of kits basically show its final form, I think.

This is the RX-78F00/E Gundam with the massive EX-001 Glass Feather backpack unit. This massive backpack unit consists of multiple solar panel units made from clear plastic which have reminded many of the Satellite Cannon used in Gundam X. Besides the actual wings, there’s also this long extended section I’m inclined to be some sort of stabilizing unit for the kit itself. Otherwise, the massive wings and thruster units will be too heavy for the kit to support by itself.

The Glass Feather unit also comes with a pair of multijointed arms that can be posed in a variety of ways, though I’m not sure if they’re meant to hold anything else. But they’re there.

If you want to recreate the assymetrically armored configuration as seen in the actual Gundam Next Future Pavilion, then you can remove several of the armor pieces for this purpose. Likewise, if you just want to have the original RX-78F00 Gundam, then you can remove all armor parts altogether. The kit will also come with several backpack options, one matching the statue and the other is I guess for the original configuration seen in Yokohama.

Here are the additional armor parts and accessories that come with the kit. Note that for switching between the several configurations available, note that the front armor/skirt pieces aren’t just placed on top of the existing ones, and are instead their own separate parts with their own ball joints. Meaning you’ll need some disassembly. Same goes for the shoulder armor.
If you want to recreate the look of the statue and the full configuration without these hassles, then you might want to get a couple of copies. Unfortunately, it already sold out by the time I checked it out over at HobbyLink Japan so it’s Buyee for me I guess.
Other than these, it comes with the standard accessories from the original Yokohama kit, plus a new weapon, the Beam Welding Gundam, that can be displayed fully deployed or stored with replacement parts. It can even be attached to the forearm for storage.
1/144 RX-78F00/E Gundam [EX-001 Glass Feather Unit]
April 2025 / ¥3,600

Everthing I mentioned is just the ‘ungraded’ 1/144 scale version, which is a retool of the Gundam Factory Yokohama kit. But they also have a less expensive Entry Grade version of both the RX-78F00 and the Glass Feather unit. They are separate kits so if you want to build the Gundam Next Pavilion statue as an Entry Grade, then you will still need to get both kits.
