Earlier this week, Bandai Spirits announced the HG Huckebein Mk-III, and I wondered if they’re going to do the auxiliary units like the AM Gunner and AM Boxer. Looks like I didn’t have to wonder long as they have announced the HG AM Gunner, albeit being an expected Premium Bandai Exclusive.

The AM Gunner is one of two support units categorized as AM (Armored Module) Parts. It’s a high-speed craft capable of providing long-range support fire and can act as a carrier for specific Personal Troopers. When Huckebein Mk-III is docked with the AM Gunner, the combined unit is called the Huckebein Gunner.

While primarily being used by the Huckebein Mk-III, it’s also compatible with the previously sold HG Huckebein Mk-II. You can also see in this comparison photo that the AM Gunner is large. Specifically, it’s 390mm long, which is oddly the same length as the approximate height of the HG Destroy Gundam I previously posted.

If you think Huckebein Mk-III doesn’t have enough firepower with its Graviton Rifle, then the AM Gunner has it covered with not just one, nor two, but four additional G-Impact Cannons at its disposal.

If those are still not enough, then the AM Gunner also has even more Multi-Trace Missiles to add to the arsenal of Multi-Trace Missiles the Huckebein Mk-III already has.

Right: Opening hatches for the Multi-Trace Missiles.
Here are close up looks of the details mentioned above. Any kits using the AM Gunner should have a stable connection point via the 3mm joint on the “saddle” section and uses the same port as the display stand port to connect. The Multi-Trace Missiles are accessible via opening hatches as seen above. All missiles are reproduced in correct color with actual plastic parts.

Other details include articulated grip and pedal parts for more expressive poses while still docked with the AM Gunner. Additional towing grip parts are also attachable at rear of the Multi-Trace Missile containers. Lastly, the thruster vents are recreated with intricate sculpted detail as seen from the back.
I’m not usually the biggest fan of large support units like this one. But since I’m already set in collecting these Huckebein-specific kits, I might as well get the AM Gunner. And if we’re really getting the AM Boxer, then I might as well secure both AM Parts.
