I was once again doing my daily rounds of scouring hobby-related news when I stumbled upon a post from Dengeki Hobby Web reminding me that MAFEX Robocop 3 is slated for release this month. It also made me think that I haven’t bought any MAFEX figures, nor considered getting one thanks the their inconsistent quality control. But I’m really considering getting Robocop, specifically the Robocop 3 version, since there’s not much 6-inch Robocop figures outside of the old Figma release.
Having previously seen his review, I went ahead and searched the review of Robo from The Fwoosh to see if a potential purchase is indeed worth it. And looks like it does! He mentioned minor nitpicks like shoulder joint gaps or how the opened gun holster on his thigh is just in bare gray plastic, but overall the figure is good. I’m not sure how differs from either the Robocop 2 or the upcoming Robocop 3 one but the latter has a blue tint compared to the purple of this one while the latter has the jet pack seen in the movie.
MAFEX Robocop (Robocop 3) is currently sold out on pre-orders but I’m pretty sure there would be copies available to order once they’re in stock.
