Taking our sights off the Bandai Spirits reveals, we have a couple of interesting new Realize Model kits for Zoids. As far as my more limited knowledge of Zoids go, these are new, or at least inspired by existing designs. To help build hype for these kits, Takara Tomy even released a 3-minute gorgeously animated clip called the Zoids Battle Films. I’m not sure if this is the first of more though regardless, what they’re doing here is interesting.
I’ll include the actual clip at the end of the post but let’s take a look at these two new Ligers.
First is the Blade Liger Panzer, which shares the same naming scheme as the Liger Zero Panzer, and is also a heavy artillery configuration of the zoid. It prominently features two large cannons and several missile launchers.
A prototype is being shown on the All Japan Model & Hobby Show and it’s definitely a retool of the Blade Liger kit along with new parts. The reveal mentions a Winter 2025 release date for the Blade Liger Panzer, which makes sense considering it is mostly a retool.
The other kit from that same short is Liger Zero Falcon which, again based on my limited Zoids knowledge, is something I first saw in Zoids: Fuzors. I’m not entirely sure if this kit would look the same as the one from Fuzors but it ultimately means they would now have a mold of the Liger Zero they can use for all its variations and CAS configurations. This kit is slated for release sometime in 2026.
