Still on SDCC 2025, Hasbro recently held their Transformers brand panel where some figures from the 2026 Age of the Primes and Studio Series lines were revealed. I’m not sure which waves they’ll slot into, but at least you can plan your purchases much earlier.
Note that there were a lot more revealed than the items I’m covering here as these are the ones I’m interested in. I’ll have the video Hasbro released which includes all reveals towards the end.

First is Age of the Primes Leader-class Big Convoy. Yes, they apparently got the name though it makes me wonder why they didn’t go with a more “western” name like Leo Prime for Lio Convoy or Star Optimus Prime for Star Convoy. I guess it might be a bit harder to translate this name when your modifier/identifier is just the word “big.”
I have the original Big Convoy figure from one of the encore reissues and it still holds to this day. It is very much a “shell-former” though so if you’re not a fan of such transformation, then you can go with this modern remake. In robot mode, Big Convoy still has all those beast mode bits hanging since that’s part of the design, but I do hope it’s better handled and doesn’t become cumbersome when posing.
Prototypes displayed in the convention also show the Big Cannon propped to a stand which makes perfect sense for a rather large weapon.

Still on Age of the Primes is Voyager-class Amalgamous Prime, who supposedly is the first Prime who can transform. But since the toyline needed a transformation gimmick, the other Primes can do as well. The folks over at Hasbro do mention that this guy has several transformations, and his components can even break apart and combine for further transformations. None of these were shown but I’m expecting to see more once solicitations are up sometime next year.

Last on my Age of the Primes list is Deluxe-class Quintus Prime, which I believe is the Quintesson progenitor. It may not have multiple faces as we’ve expected from Quintessons, but it does have multiple pairs of optics. And given that context, all the Lovecraft-ian elements are present. The lower half is made from some translucent material and I do hope it won’t be an issue when putting the figure in a neutral pose.
Quintus Prime transforms into a squid-looking vehicle mode with all those appendages dangling at the back. This is probably the least Earth vehicle-like among the alternate modes of these Primes.

Let’s now switch over to Studio Series as we check out Voyager-class Alpha Trion from Transformers One. We are getting multiple incarnations of this guy as the Age of the Primes version is dropping this November. I do have the not-Warrior/Prime Changer version and it’s a good figure, so I am curious what more budget and engineering can bring to this character.

Lastly, and this is more of a large asterisk for me, is Studio Series Leader-class Nemesis Prime from Transformers: The Last Knight. For all intents and purposes, this is a retool of the Leader-class Optimus Prime figure from Transformers: Age of Extinction, with the most notable difference being the new forearms and different paint for the head.
Personally, I am remotely considering getting this guy for the possibility of doing head swaps with my Age of Extinction Optimus Prime to get a proper The Last Knight version since the overall colors seem similar. But then again, the change is quite negligible to warrant another purchase. Let’s see.
What I’m really looking forward among these is Big Convoy, though I hope they have some explanation on why they kept the original Japanese name and not do an equivalent “Prime” name for the Hasbro markets. You can check out the Hasbro Pulse Transformers Brand Panel recap via the video I’m including below.
