First of its Kind! Realize Model 1/100 Trinity Liger

Thanks to Takara Tomy / T-Spark’s Realize Model line, I’ve become more invested in Zoids than I used to. So much so that I’m learning something outside of the more mainsteam stuff like the Blade Liger or Liger Zero. Case in point the latest kit in the line, the Realize Model 1/100 Trinity Liger appearing from the game Zoids Saga.

The Trinity Liger is like the main protagonist machine in Zoids Saga, with the game set in between Zoids: Chaotic Century and Zoids: New Century. Trinity Liger is an ancient zoid discovered in the ruins near the Kingdom of Arcadia and becomes the personal zoid of Athle Arcadia. It primarily has a vibrant orange color scheme featuring a rotating mane unit that houses three weapons: beam gun, multi-radar, and turbine.

Outside the rotating mane unit, it also has an anti-charge particle shield generator on the sides of the head, just like the Shield/Blade Liger, armor claws on each of its legs, and wing boosters for added speed and maneuverability.

Each pod of the rotating mane unit has a different weapon and they can be deployed by rotating the white panel that houses each.

Going through the torso, the wing boosters can be deployed by extending them on each side. At the same time, the “shoulder” area near each front leg also features super high-speed gatling guns that can be deployed by rotating the assembly and have the guns face forward.

All four legs feature armor claws that can be deployed to put them in attack mode. Likewise, each can be positioned to move along with the joint axis, and in both wide and narrow-legged upright stances, providing even more dynamic motion options.

Once all aforementioned features are deployed, you can definitely put Trinity Liger in its most aggressive form, with all weapons released and ready for use. Capping these features is the included Athle Arcadia figure, albeit unpainted.

I almost forgot, and I even alluded to it in the title of this post, is that as far as my quick research went, this is the first time we are getting a kit of the Trinity Liger. Outside of the games, its other appearance is a winning custom kit for a Zoids customizing contest. So, this is indeed the first of its kind, as a model kit.

What I initially thought is a red retool of the Realize Model Blade Liger is actually a totally different kit, and I’m all out in getting one. Similar to how I collect my 1/144 scale Gunpla, I’ll limit myself to kits of the main protagonist machines in the Realize Model line. And there aren’t too many of those so hopefully my finances won’t be in disagreement with such purchases.
