Bravern? Yes Please! MODEROID M2 Exceed Rhino

Not exactly Bravern itself, but this is indeed the start of the Bravern lineup of MODEROID kits from Good Smile Company. Two kits from the Masami Obari-helmed series were recently revealed, and the first to have pre-orders open is MODEROID M2 Exceed Rhinos, one of the grunt units used by the Allied Task Force.

The M2 Exceed Rhinos is one of the many Titanostride units used by the Allied Task Force, and I believe is the model that Lewis Smith uses, hence being released first. Its most notable feature, in-universe, is the High Mobility Armament Conversion System (or HiMACS) which provides fast combat versatility. The wheels installed on its feet also provide excellent maneuverability.

The kit is 110mm tall, a little shorter than your typical 1/144 scale Gunpla. And while technically a non-scale kit, doing the math puts it roughly at 1/55 scale. You can probably fudge it beside your other 1/60 scale kits. Likewise, I also believe it should scale with their MODEROID Bravern kit, which I expect to be much taller.

Its primary armament is the 30mm vulcan cannon which it can wield on one hand.

Besides having dynamic movement, the wing binders installed on its back are also maneuverable for more display options. You can also put the M2 Exceed Rhinos into parking position right before the pilot boards the TS.

Many are looking forward to Bravern figures and model kits just for Bravern itself. But the other appeal of the series, besides Bravern itself, is the sheer amount of great non-super robot mechanical designs. I want to build and collect everything they’ll release but that depends on how this first one turns out.
