I don’t have the best visibility of how Bandai Spirits’ 30 Minutes Label (30MM, 30MS) kits are performing but it seems they are doing quite well, and we are getting a third brand under this label, 30 Minutes Fantasy. I tried getting on board with this line but outside of a couple of 30MM Alto kits, they’re not really my cup of tea.
It doesn’t mean they’re bad, in fact many are using parts from these kits to customize Gunpla builds. But the designs aren’t just for me, except for a new kit they just revealed as part of All Japan Model & Hobby Show 2023.

This is 30MM Acerby [Type-C], the third variant of the Acerby base model whose Type-A and Type-B kits are yet to be released in October and November, respectively. Unlike the first two Acerby kits, this one caught my attention because the lighter color scheme reminded me of Drossel from Fireball/Fireball Charming. In fact, I already have a CATALOGUE Entry for one of the Figma figures they released below.

I’m thinking of building an Acerby Drossel von Flügel Custom, which is basically just painting the joint assemblies in black and some of the armor pieces in white. But other than those, this should be pretty straight forward. As for the kit itself, here are some details provided in the official solicitation.

Acerby Type-C has its Blade Submachine Gun as primary weapon, basically a bayonet with removable blade for close combat. The blade itself is made from the same translucent blue plastic as the optics of this machine.

Other features for this kit include a visor piece that can be raised or lowered, which is similar to an accessory Drossel also uses, making that aforementioned custom more sense. I also like how they’re referring to the “hair” of this machine as head binders, because robots can’t have actual hair, just hair-like stuff.
I might say that I’ll buy one but it’s not really my top priority kit to purchase. Those belong to the list I posted yesterday. But at least I have a custom in mind.
