Okay, just to be clear, as much as I’m really hyped about this movie, I won’t pretend to be an expert at all things Marvel and do the extensive breakdowns others may have already done. I would just like to provide some unsolicited thoughts from a perspective of an Iron Man collector.

If you’ve been living under a rock, then let me remind you that the second trailer for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness dropped during Super Bowl Sunday and it basically rocked the whole of geekdom thanks to the possible implications it has on the MCU, not to mention that voice everyone is all too familiar with. But I’m not here to delve into that but rather, focus on another glaring aspect of this trailer — the Ultron sentries.
They are seen escorting a cuffed Doctor Strange in what appears to be the hall of the Illuminati, or at least the MCU version of it. In a nutshell, the Illuminati is a secret society of the most brilliant minds, each representing a specific super-powered segment of humanity, and guarding the Earth against potential threats. For its MCU incarnation, they might not even be named Illuminati, but they appear to be using the same concept, possibly have the same membership, and operate on a multiverse-level scale.
As for the Ultron sentries shown in the trailer, many would attribute them to Tony Stark who’s a member of the Illuminati in the comics. You can also say how they are basically how he originally intended the Iron Legion to be. Now we all know our Tony Stark died in Avengers: Endgame the possibility of him appearing as a member of the Illuminati also raises further speculation, including how he would appear.

The design of the Ultron sentries has a striking resemblance to the Superior Iron Man armor or the Iron Man Model 50 with its mostly white color. And while Superior Iron Man as a character is a definite alpha-jerk, the armor itself looks quite nifty and I totally wouldn’t mind getting a figure. As far as I know, we’ve yet to get a figure of the one from the comics so having a version of this guy appear in live action might boost its popularity. The same goes with the Ultron sentries, though I didn’t get any of the Ultron figures released for Avengers: Age of Ultron.
I basically have the same speculation as the rest of the community as far as this movie goes. But I would also love to get figures of these guys. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness drops into theaters this May.
