‘Divine’ is an Understatement: “The Round Table Knights” BE Divine Invoker – Percival

SNAA’s 1/144 scale Beyond Exquisite (BE) kits from The Round Table Knights (non-existent) fiction have started to become event releases as each kit becomes crazier. I actually purchased all of them except for Iron Sickle – Kay due to its more Zeon-esque aesthetic, though I’ve yet to build any of them. I am planning to change that in 2026 though, hopefully.

In the meantime, SNAA has announced the next kit in the line up and true to my statement earlier, this kit has has gone more more notch higher in craziness due to the sheer stuff that it comes with. To the point that they are releasing a standard and deluxe version. Fellow builders, here is the BE 1/144 Divine Invoker – Percival and let’s check out how it got the ‘divine’ moniker.

Percival is a very agile unit with high destructive capabilities. It can function both in melee and long range combat, making it suitable for multi-target attacks and suppressive fire. The design itself is very regal with the mostly white armor, coupled with light blue and gold highlights. That said, they are starting to become less distinct when lined up with the rest of the Round Table Knights, so having more gimmicks to compensate does help to set it apart.

It has two distinct operating modes which are represented with the standard and deluxe releases, which we’ll check out below.

While the photos above don’t represent the standard release, I’ll just mention it regardless. It represents Percival in what Google Translate describes as its “Sacred Sage Mode.” In this form, Percival primarily two Summoning Staffs as weapons, with each being able to release destructive particles.

All of the photos released show Percival wielding its particle cloak, but this feature is technically part of what Google Translate refers as its “Sword Array Mode” which means they are removable.

And saying the Percival gets an array of swords in this mode is an understatement because they are not just your typical bladed weapons, just like the seven swords being used by Gundam Exia. In fact, the solicitation lists the following swords and blades being included in the deluxe release.

  • Judgment
  • Sharp Eye
  • Splitting Wind
  • Rock Collapse
  • Broken Sky
  • Jueying
  • Instant Light

Unless the Percival contains hidden arms to hold each sword, there’s no way it can wield them all simultaneously. Hence, the deluxe set comes with a dedicated display stand that allows you to display the kit with all its swords and blades floating around it. And yes, it can be done in multiple configurations.

This setup is giving the same vibes as the C-Funnels seen with the HG Gundam AGE-FX, except that these ones look significantly better as each sword is unique and have their own personalities, not just copy and paste bladed weapons. I would imagine spending a lot of time in the photobooth just to get the most out of the display options this kit provides.

Here’s everything that comes with the deluxe set and it’s a lot, including the seven swords, particle cloak effect parts, and the dedicated display stand for all of them. If you think all of these would just make for a harder to display kit, then the standard release should be perfect. It includes replacement manipulators and the two Summoning Staffs.

I’ve been repeatedly telling myself to start building these Round Table Knights kits since I’ve been hearing a lot of great feedback on them, not to mention they look really good. I won’t make promises but seeing this kit really pushes me to finally crack one open.
