Despite being a relatively new Transformers licensee, Yolopark has gained a good market share thanks to their “pre-assembled model kit” offerings. To those unaware, Yolopark has been selling non-transforming Transformers figures as model kits, and they’re not the model kits you’re thinking. They’re more akin to Marvel Legends’ Build-a-Figure offerings. And while I prefer Transformers that, well, transform, there is one case when getting one of these Yolopark kits would make total sense.
With Transformers One inching closer to its September release, we are getting more solicitations for upcoming toys and figures. While Hasbro and Takara Tomy have made their solicitations months earlier, most of them focus on our characters after they’ve gained their Transformation Cog since the toys do need to transform. But with Yolopark also doing the “cog-less” versions of these characters, getting the non-transforming version would make sense.
And of course, I’ll just cover Orion Pax here, but it’s pretty much the same for the rest.
This is the AMK Series Orion Pax [Cog-Less Mode] and this would very much fit my collection thanks to the reasons I’ve mentioned earlier. It will stand at 140mm, which should display well with the mainline Prime Changers or the Studio Series Voyager-class figure. It also has 15 points or articulation that’s unimpeded by any transformation feature.
Orion Pax comes pre-painted and includes the accessories seen here, these include replacement hands, a jet pack, and a Transformation Cog. If in case you want a “cogged mode” version of Orion Pax, then Yolopark also has you covered but I will probably just stick with the cog-less one here.
The AMK Series line might not be the most poseable of their offerings, but with the aforementioned 15 points of articulation, you should be able to put Orion Pax in poses seen from the film without any problems. The same is true with the sculpted surface detail which should match his on-screen model.
