Nope, they’re not just the same Gundams in some Trans-AM shenanigan.
Mobile Suit Gundam 00 Re:(in)novation THE STAGE is coming to Blu-ray and DVD home video and to coincide with this, they released official art for four new Gundams that are original to the play. Now I know when we say Gundam 00 and red Gundams, we immediately associate them with Trans-Am, and I can’t blame you for doing so. Fortunately, these ones aren’t, but for all intents and purposes, they are still recolors.
While I mentioned that these four are technically recolors of the original from season 1, they also aren’t. From what I can gather as I’ve not watched any of the stage plays, these are I Gundam units that are modelled after the Exia, Dynames, Kyrios, and Virtue. Apart from the obvious color differences, each mobile suit also has quad-optical units, similar to those found on the GN-X and its derivatives.
What follows is pure conjecture from my end, but with Gundam 00 Re:(in)novation being an adaptation of season 2, I’m inclined to think these are possibly the mobile suits used by the Innovades — e.g., Hiling Care, Bring Stabity, etc. In the original, the Innovades piloted the Garazzo and the Gadessa, whose designs I really didn’t like. The inverted Celestial Being logos also support this, but again, this is just my speculation.
I doubt they’d do Gunpla of these four, they’d be Premium Bandai at the very most.
