Following the initial reveal during the Transformers SDCC 2023 panel, pre-orders have opened, and immediately sold out, on some of the items shown in the same panel. This includes the Amazon exclusive Transformers Legacy: Evolution Nova Prime set.
We already know how the Battle Armor equipped robot mode looks like, which is a retool of Siege Ultra Magnus and more closely, Siege Galaxy Upgrade Optimus Prime. Nova Prime’s vehicle mode then looks like a familiar armored Cybertron truck all in white. The only difference it has with Galaxy Upgrade Optimus Prime in this mode, besides the colors, is the individual wing panels showing on the side of the truck mode.
Removing all the battle armor components in both robot and vehicle modes, we’re left with Nova Prime’s core unit and this is again primarily white Galaxy Upgrade Optimus Prime with black and gold highlights. Many have complained that his mold has one of the worst-looking vehicle modes and while I don’t disagree, I still appreciate what they’re trying to do here. Heck, I even got Tenseg Base Optimus Prime, which is basically the same figure in his classic colors.
Much like the other Amazon exclusives, Nova Prime is contained in a similarly styled package that highlights the Pre-Cybertronian War period. And following my several attempts to zoom in on key areas for possible teases of future releases, I’m inclined to think Nova Prime is the last for this assortment.
