Hasbro just held their action brands panel over at Wondercon 2024 and they revealed an upcoming Iron Man retro wave featuring three Iron Man figures: one retool, one new version of an older figure, and one totally new figure.

The retool is the gold version of the Iron Man Model 1 armor, or technically the Iron Man Model 1 Mark III armor. It’s mostly similar to the previously released Model 1 but now has a skirt piece. It also comes with a Tony Stark head that you can totally use with the gray Model 1.
The new version is the Iron Man Model 9, or the “Neo-Classic” armor as it’s referred to. It’s more similar to the previous Neo-Classic armor released some 10 or 11 years ago with the bulkier leg armor. Note that they did release that older mold back in 2020 as part of the Marvel Super Heroes retro wave which featured different leg armor.
Finally, the totally new figure is Iron Man Model 20 or the “Tin Man” armor. The wiki describes this armor as more conventional or “back to basics” following the inability to use the Synthetic Kinetic Interfacing Nanofluid (or S.K.I.N.) technology following an encounter with Ultron. I really like how Hasbro is committed to bringing figures of more obscure comic book Iron Man designs, and so I’ll likely get this guy… and the two other armors in the wave.
More details will be posted after solicitations go up.
