ABSTRACT

Appearing in Mobile Suit Gundam 0080 —War in the Pocket—, the Gundam NT-1 was meant to be a replacement unit for the RX-78-2 Gundam. With a simple overall design, it was easily translated into this 2004 High Grade Universal Century kit. Unfortunately, it was also limited by the High Grade engineering Bandai employed at the time of release. Gundam NT-1 has a number of gray verniers and yellow vents that require paint and detail work. Out of the box, the kit is dominantly white and aesthetically lackluster. Standard weapons and accessories include a beam rifle, beam saber (with no beam effects), and option parts for its arm-mounted gatling guns. However, the Gundam NT-1 is more known for its Full Armor configuration, utilizing Chobham plates mounted on the exterior armor. To replicate this, Bandai included armor parts that can be attached to the kit, giving more display options to this release.
