#1009: TRANSFORMERS ALTERNITY | NISSAN GT-R / OPTIMUS PRIME
PROFILE (ROBOT MODE)
PROFILE (ALTERNATE MODE)
TRANSFORMERS Alternity is Takara-Tomy’s second attempt (the first being TRANSFORMERS Binaltech / Alternators) at providing more realism to their long-running transforming robot characters by having alternate modes modeled after actual licensed vehicles. Figures in the line feature components made from die-cast metal and are at 1/32 scale. Alternity Optimus Prime takes the form of a Nissan GT-R in vehicle mode and has exterior and interior details notches higher than typical Transformers figures. The same level of detail is also present in the robot mode, as the overall aesthetic invokes complexities backed-up by the convoluted fiction the character hails from. And while Optimus Prime doesn’t come with any accessories, specifications including a Ten-Dimensional Processor Block, Planet Force Storage Reactors, Phasic Isolation Shield Emitters and Anti-Hytherion Spacetime-Piercing Tachyon Blasters definitely compensate.
