BLOG: Box Art Extravaganza Zwölf

Box Art Extravaganza Zwölf Gundam Build Fighters Try ISLAND WARS has come and gone and while it introduced quite a few new mobile suit designs, those, along with the overall plot of the special didn’t add much to lessen the disappointment many felt with Gundam Build Fighters Try. But since this isn’t a review of the special, here are box arts for a couple of upcoming kits.

Now after all is said and done, the HGBF Scramble Gundam is technically a means for Bandai to eventually release a ‘Revive’ HGUC Zeta Gundam despite the much simplified transformation. And as mentioned earlier, wasn’t really a fan of the orange color scheme and decided to recolor it based on one of the color studies seen here.

Box Art Extravaganza Zwölf This is probably one of the most lazy names given to a Gundam. From 00 Qan[T] which didn’t even had the ‘Gundam’ moniker it’s now the Gundam 00 Shia Qan[T], just slapping ‘Shia’ on there just because it’s hers. Well Sekai also did it with the Kamiki Burning Gundam so whatever.

Cat ears aside, this collector isn’t really interested with the design, which translates to no purchases.

Going on a tangent, what’s surprising is that despite being revealed prior to the special, the Transient Gundam Glacier didn’t make an appearance as Wilfred Kijima was supposedly competing in the Open Tournament. Does this mean there’s another special to cover that and will feature that mobile suit? Well no as the it is part of the Gundam Build Fighters Honoo Tri manga. Bummer.
