BLOG: Hi-Resolution Model 1/100 Gundam Barbatos – Box Art

Hi-Resolution Model 1/100 Gundam Barbatos - Box Art Okay, the way this package is designed (or lack thereof) just screams elegance.

Now within its release month, nobody is still sure why Bandai Hobby made this kit. Maybe it’s their answer to Tamashii Nations’ Metal Build figures which, despite being quite pricey, are popular to collectors. Aside from sharing the same price point, this kit also shares the aesthetic of the aforementioned figure line.

Another question is that, would this be a one-off thing? A kit like this is understandable for the Gundam Barbatos given the great deal given to its inner frame both in the fiction and the kits. How about other other Iron-Blooded Orphans kits, or even other mobile suits in general?

  2. Yeah, that’s quite the elegant packaging. Still curious if this is going to be a one-off thing though.

  4. Yeah, kind of redundant too especially when compared to the Metal Build line, same price points and all.
