BLOG: Box Art Extravaganza Zehn

Box Art Extravaganza Zehn Still on the crux of Guillermo del Toro revealing that PACIFIC RIM 2 is not totally in development hell, here’s the packaging for the Striker Eureka [Ultimate Edition] which was teased late last year. It will not be just a simple retool of the original release as it will contain quite a number of new gimmicks that the first release didn’t have.

As for the packaging itself, similar to other ‘Ultimate’ figures, Striker Eureka will come in a collector-friendly flapped window box. For complete accuracy to the on-screen model, NECA will utilize the same digital files that ILM used in rendering this machine for the big screen.

Box Art Extravaganza Zehn Going back to more familiar territory, here’s the box art from the HG IBO Gundam Kimaris, the second most likely HG IBO kit this collector will get at the moment. It’s also the third Gundam-type mobile suit in the Mobile Suit Gundam IRON-BLOODED ORPHANS following Gundam Gusion.

It hasn’t made an actual debut story-wise though it has made an appearance in the new opening sequence for the latter half of the series. As seen in the packaging, this Gundam is operated by Gjallarhorn and be piloted by Gaelio Bauduin.

As great as the mobile suit illustrations are for these HG IBO kits, it would’ve been better if they omitted the obviously anime, cell-shaded pilots. It kind of distracts from the total imagery of the packaging.
