BLOG: Let Justice Be Done, Though The Heavens Fall
|After two seasons and 24 episodes, ALDNOAH.ZERO finally ends. It was full of predictability and unpredictability thrown in but overall, the ending was kind of flat.
With the main protagonist, Inaho Kaizuka, being a robot figuratively and literally (at least in season two), the story primarily focuses on Slaine Troyard. His rise from slave to an Orbital Knight was all for Asseylum Vers Allusia though it lead him to do some questionable actions.
Many were comparing this series to Valvrave the Liberator for its plot twists and turns, though the second half took a more direct approach to the point that it almost became a "monster of the week" type of show.
Overall, ALDNOAH.ZERO had great animation, awesome soundtrack, and an easy to follow premise, but is ridden with so-so execution. It’s a good show that doesn’t leave an emotional impact when it should have.
