BLOG: Today’s Robits – January 2015 (Very Late Post!)
|This is Today’s Robits – posts that showcase CATALOGUE-related acquisitions for the entire duration of the covered period. In other words, it’s all about
Yeeah… Stuff happened and wasn’t able to make posts for a couple of month’s worth of robits. Decided not to cram all those items in a single post because who would read a long post of just new loot?
Here’s another reason to get the RG Gundam Exia, making it two reasons now. Haven’t built the HG version because of you know, backlog, and now this has arrived as well. Needing some serious model-building priorities right here.
Anyway, would Bandai release a similar Avalanche Exia conversion set?
|Next up are two more model kits. First is the reason why this collector chose the model kit Tachikoma over the reissued Revoltech version which he sought after for a while. Purchased primarily as a companion piece to Tachikoma is Logicoma from the OVA Ghost in the Shell ARISE. It’s on the smaller side of things but very much detailed. Looking forward to finally building these two because… backlog.
Next is a kit from Wave, the Legioss Eta from Genesis Climber Mospeada. Note that it doesn’t transform to either Armo-Fighter or Armo-Diver modes and based on this video review, it looks like the kit will require some work to look anime accurate.
|Finishing this batch are these two Jaegers from Series 4 of NECA’s Pacific Rim toyline. At this point, the only alternative collectors have to these figures are the upcoming model kits from Max Factory. QC issues aside, NECA has done a great job in covering the Jaegers that came out in the movie, as well as those exclusive to the prequel materials.
Most were looking forward to Gipsy Danger “2.0” thanks to its improved articulation and new accessories. So much so that NECA is releasing two more battle damaged versions of the figure as part of Series 5 and 6.
Oh and Tacit Ronin looks sweet.
