BLOG: Box Art Extravaganza Acht

Box Art Extravaganza Acht Here’s another batch of box arts released for upcoming Gunpla, and it all goes red.

While also set in the Universal Century timeline, kits coming from Mobile Suit Gundam THE ORIGIN will be under a separate High Grade line unlike kits from Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn where they’re sold under the HGUC line.

Now if it weren’t for that opening sequence depicting the ‘Battle of Loum’, the initial wave of this line would only consist of the Guntank Early Type. And Bandai doesn’t want to start a line with a Guntank, a Char’s Zaku II would sell much better.

In any case, it’s still up to speculation as to how Gundam THE ORIGIN will be adapted. Will they fit the story with the Mobile Suit Gundam since mobile suit development in Gundam THE ORIGN isn’t exactly the same with the original series.

Box Art Extravaganza Acht Throwing the timeline into the far flung future of the Reguild Century is GUNDAM Reconguista in G with its equivalent of the Dendrobium, the Gundam G-Self Assault Pack.

Aside from shifting its color from blue to red, the G-Self also gains additional leg armor when using this massive backpack. Based on images floating online, the set will include a display base to mount the model as there would be no way that it will stand on its own thanks again to that huge backpack.

There hasn’t been any announcement as to which G-Self variant would Bandai make a kit of after this. Although the High Torque Pack would be a great choice as it’s technically how a Full Armor G-Self would look like. On the other hand, the Tricky Pack doesn’t really do it for this collector. Then there’s the Perfect Pack, it’s sort of mid/end-season upgrade.
