BLOG: Today’s Robits – October & November 2012
|This is Today’s Robits – posts that showcase CATALOGUE-related acquisitions for the entire duration of the covered period. In other words, it’s all about this month’s hobby loot.
2012 is coming to an end so there’s absolutely no reason to further delay this recollection of robits that came during October and November.
Starting things off is this custom-made figure that goes back to June during the annual ToyCon. Since the other available Metal Gear REX figures and models are quite huge, and totally outside the Collection Definition, then a custom figure would be the best choice of purchase.
The figure took almost three months to build but all the time spent on this is totally worth it as the quality speaks for itself.
|Next up is another figure in the slowly, yet surely growing Super Robot Chogokin collection. After releasing figures from The King of Braves GaoGaiGar, Bandai decided to follow that up with the next most popular Brave Series, Brave Express Might Gaine led by no other than Might Gaine.
It helps that aside form being on sale at a local hobby shop, it also comes with the Trident Stage which was a first-release exclusive.
|Capping this post are these two figures have different stories.
With the HGFC and HGAW sublines now on hiatus, the chances of having an HGAC line seems quite slim (dammit Bandai). And by the Collection Definition for Gundams, if a model kit isn’t available, then this Wing Gundam Zero figure should suffice until one is released.
Then there’s this rendition of the Samus Aran [Varia Suit] power suit from Metroid: Other M which just looks awesome and that alone warrants a purchase. True Story.
